The Cataclysm Calendar

Shadowglyph - (this month is also the end of the prior year) the residual magic from the cataclysm still scars the fabric of magic. The first day, the day between years, and the final day all have strange undecipherable magical symbols appear etched in random places. 16-19 days.

This month overlaps the prior year because of the cataclysm that marked year 0 - that day's anniversary is in the middle of this month. It wasn't until many years after the cataclysm that people aligned the correct symbols of middle month with the impact.

Solsticeflame - Start of summer, the month ends as the sun lets out a burst of energy that showers the planet in rainbow auroras. The auroras eventually fade out near the end of the month so people know when Enlyteiña's day is. 53-60 days

• Enlyteiña's day (1 day between months) it's too damn hot outside to be there, so even the most outdoorsy spend the day inside learning. Enlyteiña shares the love of knowledge with all and many people report hearing her explain things to them. Ironically schools are not in session this day, but many educators help host events anyways to facilitate learning.

Moonhallow - Named after the moon gods death, the blood moon in the sky, Lunaria's ascension. During this month Lunaria presents herself as a blood moon in the sky until the anniversary of her ascension (final day of the month) when it snaps to a silvery color. 20 days. After the month is over it returns to it's usual white.

• Zerin's holy day (1 day between months). Loved ones from the past are granted an opportunity to walk amongst their living family. Signals Amberfall coming. Zerin is upset that his day is not between the years.

Amberfall - The typical autumn effects, not because it's getting colder, but because the trees know that Cyren's Comet is on it's way. A shorter month of 12-15 days, starts at the first sight of a leaf changing colors, ends with Cyren's Comet. Things get like 10 degrees colder.

Winterheart - Starts when Cyren's Comet hits, ends when it's gone. Usually 35-45 days. Massive temperature changes on the first day and the last day (so Frostwake is mostly warm).

Frostwake - snow melts, temperatures return from mostly warm to normal, awaiting for Veranis's holy day. 20-23 days.

• Veranis's holy day (1 day between months) where nature bursts back into bloom, an excessive overgrown bloom

Blossomrise - the wake of Veranis's holy day where the abundance of lush vegetation are overgrown, vibrant flowers are everywhere. The large scale wilting signals the end of this month. 37-42 days.

• Fortuna's holy day (1 day between months) is usually celebrated with large scale gambling, risk taking, and children acting especially chaotic. There's also a common practice of waiting to burn away the wilted plants from Blossomrise until now because the usual chaotic nature of fire is controlled by Fortuna, and it only spreads to wilted vegetation leaving the rest of it unharmed.
